Home Depot says it will soon begin offering a “carpets-by-the-month” service, which is a move to simplify the process of finding the right carpet for a new home.
The company announced Tuesday that the service will begin in April.
The new service will allow users to search for a carpet and select the size of the carpet they need, as well as the length of time it will last.
It will allow customers to shop for the right length of carpet, which will then be sorted by price.
“Customers are the backbone of our business,” Home Depot spokeswoman Katie Smith said in a statement.
“We’ve been seeing more and more customers asking for a personalized experience.
And now they can.”
Home Depot plans to offer a different service called a “friezes-by the month” service that allows users to find the carpet and choose the length and style of the friezes they need.
Customers can also order a personalized carpet for an existing home.
Home Depot will continue to offer the carpet by the month service, but the new service is intended for new homes.
“Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities and this new service provides a much more personalized experience for our customers,” Smith said.

Home Depot also announced plans to make the process for purchasing a new carpet easier, adding a “home décor budget” option that will allow consumers to see the cost of purchasing a specific type of carpet.
Consumers can now also set up an account for “customer-selected” custom carpets.
